One dad in Hamburg
Sagalino is a one-person company in Hamburg. It was founded by a dad who wanted to give his son a book about a character the two of them had made up on a beach holiday. The ready-made options all started from a story that was already written, with only the name changed. So Sagalino began.
Many personalised book brands are much larger: Wonderbly has been part of Penguin Random House since June 2025, Librio is a Zurich company that prints in five countries, and Magical Children's Book runs country sites in more than 30 countries. At Sagalino, the founder reads every message sent to hello@sagalino.com himself.
How Sagalino compares with these brands, point by point, is in the comparison, with a source for every figure.
