Sagalino

Comparison

Personalised search and find books compared

Nine books for readers in the UK and nine for readers in the USA, as we found them on 29 October 2026. Every detail comes from the providers' own pages, and every card links to the page it came from. Our own book comes first in each section, so you don't have to hunt for it.

Two kinds of personalised search and find books

Stories and worlds planned in advance

According to their pages, these providers offer a story or a setting that is composed in advance: a trip around the world, six worlds each with a job, a cuddly toy's great escape. You choose the child's looks from a set of options and, with some providers, add a photo. At Genaya and Story Spark a character is created from a photo; whether the scenes are also made new for each order is not stated on their pages.

Painted new for every book

At Sagalino, every picture is painted by AI for each book, from your descriptions of the characters and places. That is how family, pets and your own places find their way into the picture.

In the United Kingdom

Prices in pounds, as shown on the providers' pages. Two providers showed euros on their English pages; the cards say so.

What to look for when you compare

Who goes into the book?

Only the child, or also siblings, grandparents, friends and the family pet? Put together from a choice of options, or from a description and a photo?

Which places?

Set worlds such as a trip around the world, or places you know: your village, the holiday spot, the playground around the corner?

How much can you see first?

The whole book, a few pages or only the cover? And can you still have single pictures changed?

Size and pages

A busy picture lives from its size. Look at the page size, the number of double pages and the binding.

Total price and timing

The price plus delivery, any import charges or sales tax, and whether an eBook is included. Check the expected delivery date as well as the printing time. Promotional prices change often.

Photos

What happens to uploaded photos, and how long are they kept? The privacy policy should say so clearly.
